Pall Mall Investment Management Limited is the successor company to Pall Mall Partners Ltd, founded in 1998 by Michael Bauer, Holger Pastel and Richard Rapazzini. All three were previously employed by BZW, the then investment banking arm of Barclays Bank, and were joined in 1999 by Curt Schibli (from Schroders) and Jonathan Goble (from Rabobank, previously also at BZW).

The first fund, the PALLMALL High Yield Europe Plus Fund, was launched in June 1999 managed then, as now, by Curt Schibli. This was one of the first dedicated European High Yield funds and it represents the Company’s benchmark portfolio and long-only product track record.

The High Yield team has shown notable stability with Curt Schibli, Oliver Chamberlain and Jonathan Goble involved in the investment team since the outset. In recent years, the investment team has been enhanced with the addition of Emilio Orecchia, fund manager and specialist in fixed income derivatives and relative value, formerly of Citigroup, and Jason Late, analyst, formerly of Goldman Sachs.
